We stayed 2 nights at The Heart Center in the orange yurt and couldn't have loved it more. The yurt itself is charming and comfortable. The isolated wooded setting is ideal for relaxing away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. We had a fire in the fire pit and enjoyed s'mores both nights. Liz greeted us and welcomed our kids and dog with open arms. We enjoyed exploring the labyrinth, the gym and the morning coffee at the cafeteria was much appreciated! We explored all that the area had to offer and the location couldn't be better for waterfall hikes, seeing the massive trees at Joyce Gilmer and marveling at Fontana Dam. We hope to be back soon!
Cassandra and Walt could not be better hosts. Their site is charming and private. We used the trailer and they also allow us to set up our tent in front to accommodate our family. The trailer is cute and had everything we needed to fix a few easy meals and play games at the table in the evening. Our dog was welcomed and he enjoyed running around the property exploring the pine forest. The chicken coop on the property was a bonus. My sons loved checking for eggs with Walt and we enjoyed eggs for breakfast every morning. The outdoor shower is fun and there is even a tiki torch if you like showering in the evening. There are a few camp/trailer/cabin sites on the property, but the set up is spacious and you always feel like you have private space at your trailer. The fire pit is perfect and Walt generously re-filled the free firewood. The location is great for exploring Silver Springs State Park where we enjoyed the glass bottom boat and kayaking with the manatees! Highly recommend!!
