The place was great! Stayed in Site 6 and James was quick to tell us that there wasn't shade there (which there wasn't) but we decided to camp there anyway as we had a canopy. He did offer us a shadier campsite if we'd like! James and his wife and family were kind and helpful. The manmade lake is pretty sweet and we watched a bunch of them waterskiing on the lake. But we were also able to swim/float around the lake as well! James gives a good amount of wood for the $3 that we paid. Would stay again!
Michael was a great host. Extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Very kind/flexible. Same goes for his dog, Kiwi! My friends and I enjoyed staying here. The fishing was great. The campsite was great. Super close to Ann Arbor but far enough to feel like you’re out of the hustle and bustle. Would definitely stay here again & recommend!
Magical Woods was ready. Anita is a kind and respectful host with lots of knowledge about the area. We were up here for the weekend with some friends and loved the privacy of the campsite. It’s about a 30 minute drive to pictured rocks (which is pretty and scenic so not too bad!). There is a small river that meanders through the property. Just a heads up that the lake right across the street is private! Porta-potty was very clean. The fire pit is huge and amazing and the site in general is just so large that it’s great for lots of activities—including frisbee! Would definitely go back.
