Glamping at its best. The main cabin was small and rustic but had everything needed and full of charm. The electric heater kept the space warm enough that we didn't light the wood stove. Was impressed with the quantity and quality of the dishware, glassware, etc. The bunk house had 2 sets of bunks that were very comfortable and plenty of move around space. The bathhouse rocked. Instant hotwater and plenty of room. The site was private and we had campfire both nights and enjoyed the beautiful night sky. We grilled one night and found the grill in good order and clean. We will be back and really enjoyed our stay. The wagon tires could use a bit of air to make it roll a little better for transporting gear from car.
Fantastic!! The site, the location, the host, the cool temps. Can't say enough how wonderful this little bit of heaven is to experience. You leave all stress behind as you drive the gravel road to the site that is surrounded by mount laurel. The sound of the waterfall and stream relaxes your body and mind. The Yeti cooler and gas grill made meals a snap. We did have a rain shower that inconveniently interrupted dinner but plenty of room inside the tent to finish eating. The weather cleared shortly thereafter and enjoyed a campfire and later some stargazing down near the water.
The location is close to Ingles, restaurants and numerous hikes and waterfalls.
Next visit will add on an additional day or two.
This is one of the nicest campsites I have visited. We arrived to clear blue skies and the changing fall leaves with the backdrop of beautiful waterfalls. The hike to the larger waterfall is worth the steep, uphill hike. Falling asleep to the sound of rushing water over the waterfall was relaxing and melted all stress away. The pavilion with several large picnic tables was perfect for hanging out on our rainy Saturday. The bathroom was very clean. Site is also in a wonderful location near Clayton, Dillard, Sky Valley and Highlands with an abundance of activities. Cell service (Verizon) was weak but just needed to walk a short distance down the gravel road to obtain a stronger signal if you really needed to. Texts worked fine. We will be returning for another visit.
