This place is a nostalgic dream. Literally steps away from the ocean, it is the perfect place to come unwind. In the evening we got cozy by the fire and listened to the waves crash outside. We will definitely be back!
We were so close to the city, yet it felt like we were miles away. This place brought us peace, inspiration and one of the most relaxed weekends we have had in a long time. You can really tell each detail was really thought out and a lot of heart was put into making this place a unique Portland experience. We particularly loved choosing our coffee brewing method in the morning, picking fresh fruits in the backyard, swinging peacefully in the hammock, and being within walking distance of some delicious Portlandesque restaurants. We will definitely be back and we never want to shower indoors ever again.
Wow!! What a hidden gem. This place won't be hidden for long, so take advantage of it while you can. Cheryl greeted us upon arrival, and gave us an amazing tour of the property. You can tell a lot of love and sweat went into this place. There isn't a single bad campsite here, each one offering a different experience in the woods. They offer full rentals, from the tents and stoves to chairs and sleeping bags. All you have to do is show up and enjoy. We got to stay in one of the Lotus Buds, and they are COOL! We felt like kids again riding the train around the property and seeing the deer run around in the fields and forests. This place is a dream for anyone from 2-95. We cannot wait to return very, very soon!
What a place! Jeff's property is beautiful, something that you can tell he has put a lot of love and work into. The main lodge is gorgeous and a great place to have some morning coffee and breakfast. Our yurt was amazing, it felt like we were staying in a nice hotel under the stars. Rent the bikes and take a ride to the nearby town, its worth it. Vernonia Springs is the perfect place to escape to and unwind, we will definitely be back soon!
Amazing!! My girlfriend and I had to opportunity to stay here, and we couldn't be happier. After the beautiful ferry ride to the island, Lynn greeted us and quickly gave us a tour of the area. The farm has forest trees, pastures of sheep, and private beach access. Our camping area had running hot water, a sink and table for eating, a VERY clean outhouse, and a shower looking over the forest trees. There is a field for playing games, and a fire pit for evening relaxing. In the morning we were treated to fresh cheese samples from the farm, and we got to watch Lynn in the cheese making process. Such a cool experience to see a family so passionate about their land and their farm, we will definitely be back very soon!
