Magic Forest was just as expected. We stayed two nights and felt quite secluded. We never got a chance to check out the farm animals - the kids got so tired from the day out. Spoke to Jay a few times and he was super helpful.
Tips for Others:
-Site 1 was the closest to the entrance and outhouse but on the main road and had the least privacy. Entire place was very private though.
-Sites 8 and 9 (ours) was the farthest from the entrance/main building and felt the most secluded.
-All sites had fire rings. Some (think it was #1) had a brick oven/grill thing. Not sure if it was usable but looked good. All had chopped logs for seating around the fire pit.
-Firewood station was at the entrance (to the woods) so pick up some before you drive in.
-Hannacroix Creek Reserve is about 25mins drive. Easy hike and we took the kids swimming. Thacher State Park was about 15 mins and kids loved it. Had a great playground also.
-Most parks around are take-in/take-out so be prepared with bags for your trash.
