Spent NYE in the cabin with friends and loved it! Everyone at Shawnee was so friendly and helpful in getting us there. (We took the ski lift up, and actually hiked down the slopes the next day.)
The cabin was SO warm and cozy! All of the basic essentials were there for us - camp stove, utensils, propane, paper towels, TP, fire wood etc. Woke up to an amazing view the next morning! Cant wait to come back in another season.
I had no idea what to expect coming here, there was a lot more to offer than just camping. There's a camp store with all of the necessities and more. There's also a "take out" window where you can order a few different food items...like a lobster dinner! Yum.
There's also quite a few excursions available..guided kayak tours, PUFFIN tours (um how cool!), kayak and boat rentals. So many options! I originally had other plans but abandoned them to stay longer and took a guided trip to one of Maine's many islands & had a BLAST!
What a great little spot on the coast of Maine! I'm already planning my trip back. Loved my little campsite next to the ocean...I have never slept so well!
What a cozy spot! The yurt was very clean upon arrival and felt so homey. Everything you need is here! Plenty of cookware, dishes, linens, fire wood, water and more.
I had so much fun wandering around the farm meeting all of the animals! Loved the suspension bridge too, how unique! I spent most of the night sitting by the fire pit out back, plenty of wood to keep it going on a nice summer night! There's no cell service here so it felt great to just unplug and relax on the farm.
Oh and I enjoyed a nice big breakfast in the morning with farm fresh eggs that were left on the kitchen table. Thank you so much! That was a nice perk. Such a great little spot here, hope to be back again one day!
Larry and Gwen have a beautiful property! The gypsy wagon is down a path from their farmhouse, and feels so secluded and homey!
The wagon had all of your basic amenities to cook, make tea/coffee and plenty of water. The bed is small, but VERY comfy! Outside there are 2 spots to have a nice fire - in the front of the wagon and the back. We had one going out front and ate dinner on a log.
There's a very cute sitting area/dish washing station off to the side of the wagon which was very convenient. The outhouse out back is one of the nicest, cleanest and well crafted I have ever seen! There are a lot of personal touches in the wagon and surrounding property. Larry and Gwen really took a lot of great care with putting this amazing place together.
I very much enjoyed staying out at the wagon. 10/10!
Loooved staying at the Hillside Studio Retreat! Polly was a GREAT host, and we loved meeting the pup!
The space was bright and cozy and had everything we needed. All cookware, linens & more are available for use. The futon pulls out into a bed and was very comfortable, it got cool at night but it was very warm in the studio.
The location was beautifully quiet! We sat outside for awhile, at the fire pit..just watching the lightning bugs dance all around. Couldn't ask for a better, more relaxing night in Vermont!
If you're looking for a quiet, spacious and scenic campsite right outside of Zion then this is THE place! It's a little off the beaten path but the seclusion and views really do make up for it. As a solo camper I felt very safe, other people are around but with plenty of space to have your own quiet area. There's a few porta potties on site as well so no peeing in the bushes here!
Landing here after a long day of travel was so relaxing! Bill welcomed me at the office and gave me the low down on pretty much everything they have to offer here...which is a lot more than I thought! Not only do they have waterfront tent AND rv sites but they also have clean bathrooms/showers, firewood, laundry facilities and a breakfast option for $6 if you want. The site is also only 30 minutes from the entry to Bryce Canyon National Park! HUGE perk since I was headed there the next day.
I was given site #6 which was right in the middle of the other tent sites, only a few other campers were around so it was nice and quiet. After I set up my tent I just sat listening to the sound of the river and watched the incredible views around me. There were multiple storms happening all around, it was quite a sight. I did attempt to get a fire going but it was quite windy. Oh well, next time!
If you're looking for a cozy & quiet camping cabin to relax near some trails in New Hampshire - then this is your place! Uncle Tom's is just secluded enough for privacy, but still on the grid if you need to go into town or make a phone call. I loved just sitting on the screened-in porch staring at the view, and hanging out by the fire pit just outside. Definitely a feeling of "home away from home".
The cabin has all of your basic needs and then some: electricity, a full-size fridge, hot plate, toaster, full Murphy bed, extra cot, outdoor sink for washing dishes, wood stove (for those chilly nights!), indoor toilet & outhouse and plenty of extra land if you want to pitch a tent!
There's a few acres of land to explore; the river is just a 5-minute walk in the woods! Newfound Lake and Cardigan Mountain are also nearby. Plenty to do and see at Uncle Tom's!
If you're looking for a cozy, quiet, unique place to stay in FL - this is your place!
Not only do you get this awesome treehouse to sleep and hangout in but there is also a FULL cabin on the property (great for groups!) which was super helpful even though I was traveling alone. Almost everything you need is provided for you - cookware, towels, utensils, dvds, washer/dryer etc.
I know there must be others like me that want to see something other than Disney when coming to Florida. Make sure to check out one of the local springs nearby..if you're lucky you might even spot a Manatee!
I had so much fun here, I definitely felt like such a big kid. Can't wait to come back!
This cabin is the perfect tiny space! I stayed here at the start of the new year with a friend. It's in a great location to explore the ADKs and sooooooo cozy! It was so nice to just sit in the rocking chair right next to the fire. I never wanted to leave! Super helpful that there was already a jug of water in there, and plenty of firewood! I can't wait to come back and hang out by the pond when the snow is gone!
