Tara moved us to another site because we love to paddle and brought our kayaks....which I'm not sure the name of but it was a beautiful rustic site near a private smallish lake (not a pond). She's an outstanding host. Brought us a table, came to cut us firewood, and when we ran out of off when we got rained in she v brought us two card games AND 2 cans of mosquito repellent. If you like private (like you could easily buff it) and beautiful we highly recommend it.
TIP: If it rains and you don't have FWD you might want to preemptively drive up the hill a bit. If not Tara knows how to get you out! Lol.
Beautful lake with great amenities. Family who runs the place is friendly and attentive without being inhibiting. Weekdays will be more private than the weekend when a swarm of folks will show up on Friday and then quickly evacuate Sunday morning.; )
It was our first chance to use our new kayaks and was the absolute perfect size lake for that... a few coves, a secret side lake (you'll have to find it for yourself)... from glass to a decent chop with wind... super clean water.
My only word of warning is the sites are tighter and closer to together than we expected. Also they currently developing the property which will be super cool for future but we were there for 4 days from mid-week through Sunday and there was construction noise everyday(which you can't hear from a kayak ; )...
BUT no ticks, nice showers, a beautiful dock, everything you could want or need at your disposal. We will be back.
Beautiful private peaceful space on Lance's personal property. Backs up to the woods, lots of hiking, and down the trail a bit is the river. Great convenient port a potty but not so close that it's in your face or nostrils. Two really friendly dogs who played hard with our heeler. Shower looks cool but we didn't get a chance to use it this trip. Shopping is 15 minutes down the road. Overall really really nice spot. We plan to come back and perhaps bring friends!
