A great place for anyone who enjoys beautiful sunsets, fishing, and all the privacy you'll need right off the interstate.
Todd and Tia were welcoming and respectful of the need for camping privacy and have built a brand new outhouse just for YOU to enjoy. You may be lucky to find a few ducks hanging around and may even catch a few fish if that's your interest.
You have plenty of spots to set up camp and some really pretty views with reflections coming off the pond.
Such a great spot with SOOO many great spots (both shady or sunny) to set up camp and enjoy your time here.
The host was so sweet and welcoming with some great amenities available to you to enjoy. Take a kayak to the pond or lounge around on the hammock. You'll find a few ducks, chickens, and house cats roaming around the house. You have so much privacy here with quite a few different trees to identify, blackberries to pick, and campfires to build.
You will not be disappointed in picking this site to camp at!
So many different species of rabbits, chickens, and the cutest micro pigs and piglets! I absolutely adored this place and Rhinda is so sweet and is so happy to give a tour and tell you a little about each type of animal she has at her petting zoo (seriously so perfect for kids). This is a great place for the beginner campers. Lovely sunset views and not too far from a gas station to fill up on ice or any necessities you'll want to grab before heading out to the farm.
Plenty of privacy on a super safe stretch of land with the sweetest family!
You have plenty of options on where to set up camp with different levels of privacy depending on what side of the pond you want to be on. I was closest to the road yet farthest from the family home - in the shadiest spot to escape the summer heat. A fire pit and bench was provided where I camped at. The family and I enjoyed smores before I took a few minutes to gather my things and take a quick (and much needed) hot shower.
When I got back to my campsite, I was still unloading my car and getting my dinner together to start cooking when I hear some rustling in the bushes right behind my car. It was 4 baby raccoons getting closer to the pond! So precious!
I woke up feeling refreshed in my cool and shade filled campsite to cook breakfast and start my journey for the day. The family cat was there to tell me goodbye and sneak in a few snuggles.
Such a sweet family with the sweetest animals to play with! The views are spectacular and the drive in was so pleasant and peaceful - just what you need on a camping retreat.
I had arrived just in time for the family to bring home 2 new pups they had just adopted! As if the little pigs weren't enough, I was able to snuggle with the new puppy for a bit. There's a plentiful apple tree beside where I set up camp - they weren't ready quite yet but I couldn't help myself so I tried a few. Hey, if they were safe for the pigs to eat as treats then they were fine with me!
Surrounded by corn fields, you'll be on a hill to where you can still catch a gorgeous sunset and see a billion stars in the sky at night with minimal light pollution from neighboring cities.
