This place was so lovely. Jae was an awesome host and the A-Frame her husband built is stunning. It’s right central to anything you could ever need but completely hidden and secluded. I would recommend this spot a thousand times over if I could. Comfort, hospitality, adorable and private! Excellent.
The La Lu Goat yurt experience was phenomenal from start to finish! Our host was super informative and helpful, even provided a tour of the barn and shower/restroom facilities and graciously provided equipment to help get ourself to camp.
The friendly and adorable goats accompanied us to the yurt and grazed in the beautiful rolling field while we settled in. If you’re seeking picturesque and private LOOK NO FURTHER!
The yurt and surrounding firepit and picnic area are stocked with essentials and some extras like grates/pans/utensils for cooking, chairs, board games, etc.
The property is huge and right next to a creek that lulled us to sleep and provided one of the better hikes of my life! There’s so much to see so keep your eyes and your ears open!
Constancia offers dinner and breakfast options for a nominal fee and she will even let you milk the goats and learn to make cheese!
These people and their land are both really special and will add a memeory to whatever journey you are on that you will not soon forget.
Amy cancelled on us on the day of our reservation (which was during Labor Day holiday weekend). We were already well on our way to her property as our trip was completely planned around our lodging. We had to scramble to find somewhere else last minute and found most everything to be sold-out.
She jeopardized our time and our finances and this was needless to say quite unusual and disappointing.
Scott’s farm is beyond special and adorable. He has several different types of animals and you can camp amongst all of them, or if you prefer something more private there are 140 acres of woods surrounding the farms with ponds and trails that all all yours to camp and explore.
The host was nearby and reachable for all of our questions s and graciously offered his shower/bathroom and a sink for us to use at our leisure.
This was a great experience and we recommend you try it out for yourself!
Pat is an exceptional host who offers you full access to her slice of awesome on the GRR. The tiny cabin was immaculate and just the right size for two! She added a lot of extra thoughtful touches that made it feel even more special. And the compost outhouse was the cleanest I’ve ever seen!
Her propert is gorgeous and she offered her locally-made Adirondack chair for two and fire-pit for our use as well as free reign of her kayaks and floating dock for fishing/exploring.
This place is such a deal at any price. Truly as top-notch as glamping gets!
This was just such a lovely camping site. Tim was a helpful host who made sure to give concise and easy to follow directions. The hike in was lush and easy to navigate as well as well-maintained. The camp itself is on private conservation lands with lots of wildlife. We saw otters swimming nearby and made friends with a duck! The site was fully stocked with firewood, canoes, life jackets, chairs, tables plus lots of lake sports extras!
The site is extraordinarily secluded and the views are done zero justice by photographs alone. I cannot express enough what an awesome site this is! I fully recommend you check it out.
Tim’s was a communicative and helpful host who gave perfect directions to his private conservation forest.
The hike to the campsite was lush, but simple to follow and well maintained.
The campsite itself is gorgeous and was also inpeccibly clean. The shelters are stocked with firewood, fishing poles and all the supplies you’d need to enjoy a day in the lake! Canoes were provided and the trees had an ideal set-up for hammock camping.
The lovely site is only made more georgeous by the views of The Green Mountains surrounding you and Lake Raponda’s sparkling clean water. If you enjoy wildlife this is your spot! We saw otters, frogs, some very cool bugs and even had a duck friend (we called him Wadsworth) who hung out the entire three days we spent there.
This place is a treasure. Do yourself a favor and check it out!
Our stay at the Perfect Ten Lodge went beautifully. It’s in a lovely and secluded location with its very own creek. It was so nice to be able to relax without worry of bothering any neighbors or happening upon any people at all. Even with the wonderful seclusion afforded by this location, we were only just minutes away from an extremely well stocked gas station with absolutely anything you could possibly need. We went for hikes with our dogs, and spent time by the water. The site even had some firewood available right next to the fire pit. We could not have asked for a better camping experience than this one. Book this campsite with confidence.
