My girlfriend and I stayed in a yurt for a night over the 4th of July weekend. We had never had a naturist/nudist experience before, but the gorgeous surroundings and respectful attitude made it the relaxing experience we were looking for.
The yurts are pretty close together but are a short walk from bathrooms, the pool/hot tub, and sports courts. You can also go for a hike or do naked yoga too!
The only thing I wish had been communicated better was that the community kitchen area was closed for repairs (we had bought food to cook). There is a restaurant with limited hours though so we were all good.
Anyways, give it a shot for a night or two. You'll feel refreshed. It was pretty freeing to just bop around naked.
If you're planning on sliding through SLO or Morro Bay and need a spot to rest your head, WagMore might be for you. While it's not huge on amenities, it's super affordable and ideal for van camping or a tent setup. As an added bonus, you can do a sizable hike on the property without seeing anyone besides the beautiful people you are choosing to camp with. My interactions with Lori were minimal, but she is super quick to respond to any questions you have and wants to make your stay as smooth as possible.
A night’s stay in this clean and cozy dome was just what I needed!
The inside includes: hardwood floor, two cots, pillows, electricity, nightstand, lights, nightlight, yoga mat, sleeping bags, electric blanket, electric heater, larger heater and rugs. If it’s hot out, you can open up parts of the dome to let in some fresh air. You can see outside/inside of it, but no one is around to disturb you so you won’t feel vulnerable. The nearby trickling pond is lovely background noise as you drift off to sleep.
Outside: The land is pretty extensive and there’s plenty of room to relax. You’re right by the pond I mentioned earlier, plus there are chairs and a picnic table. If I wasn’t so bent on exploring the coast that day, it would have been awesome for sunbathing.
Hosts: Pat and Kamala are an amazing couple. They’re very friendly and said to ask if I needed anything OR had suggestions on how they could improve their spot. A bunch of their friends happened to be over for a BBQ the evening I stayed and they invited me for a meal and some wine. They sent me off to bed with tea and I caught up with them the next morning for coffee. I even partook in their Easter egg hunt the next morning. Love them!
