Our host was friendly. The site was secluded and remote from the main property.
Our fire ring had thick, tall weeds around it, not the biggest deal but I had to cut them and stomp them down.
We went up near the main property looking for wood and a spigot and there was an aggressive dog on the property which scared my daughter and I pretty badly.
I texted our hosts and messaged via Hip camp and received no replies when I wanted to let them know one of the dogs had bitten me.
I could've dealt with the situation much more easily if we had gotten a call or text reply about the situation.
Overall a cool spot. Host was friendly, but I would not return given the dog situation and la k of communication over a serious issue.
This place is beautiful. Only complaint is the unnecessarily complicated instructions. Some basic bullet points and signage would do wonders, and the strict, detailed rules about dust and gates and horses made us very anxious about arriving.
This place is gorgeous and very special. I've rarely seen such a dark night sky. Transporting.
