The camp site was well taken care of and had all the amenities. A great weekend accessible hiking, creek, basketball court, volleyball, lodge house and the kureg was a hit with our group.
The hosts were particularly warm and helpful. Our group didn't bring as many warm clothes as they needed and they provided them with extra sweaters and even the forgotten toothbrush. They went above and beyond to make our group feel welcome. This was especially comforting after our group who identifies predominantly within the Black community had gotten lost and encountered unfriendly neighbors who called the cops on them when asking for directions on the drive in. If it wasn't for their extra effort to help the group who were there on a leadership and team building experience feel at home we may have left. Only recommendation is to make sure you have printed directions and clearly know where your going. The sign is tiny leading to their camp from the road. It was also comforting that literally all the other campers and groups were POC. The communication was also very strong (as long as you have reception). They responded to stuff even if it was 3am. Fantastic host and site minus their neighbors a few miles away.
