Highly recommend Sticks + Stones! The bed swing is comfy, peaceful and private. Don't miss out on everything there is to do - take in the view of Mt Washington from the swings, play games in the yard, and light a fire and enjoy a movie while lounging in the pergola as the sun goes down. Your hosts, Damon and Jen are SO welcoming and helpful, and will take great care of you. They've put a lot of thoughtful touches in for their guests and more plans for the future - I can't wait to come back. :)
We really enjoyed our stay! The hosts are super friendly and have worked in thoughtful touches EVERYWHERE. From providing kindling and charcoal, to coffee and indoor fireplaces. Each tiny home is unique and has special perks, so you'll be treated to a great experience no matter which home you choose.
The property, fields and campsites, are absolutely beautiful. The campsites are extremely private and all feature a fire pit and bench/table. I would strongly recommend bringing bug spray or citronella candles to your campsite. Finding each of the sites is easy with your host providing sign’s at each of the sites and detailed directions. There are plenty of spacious fields and trails to explore -- the property is 200 acres and has a long and interesting history!
The Organic Farm is a great experience whether your camp or stay in the cabins! The hosts are kind and have an eye for rustic charm. The view from the campsites is incredible, and there’s plenty of firewood for you to use. The community spaces are a great opportunity to meet other travelers, while your sites offer more solitude and privacy.
We LOVED L&G Farm! The campsites were spacious, yet still had great privacy. Make sure to check out the farm (at meal time if you want to see everyone up close!) on the opposite side of the house and meet the gang. Your hosts are responsive to suggestions and eager to improve your experience. We hope to come back sooner rather than later.
We loved our stay on the ranch! The property is beautiful and well taken care of. Charlie, your host, has tons of information on the nearby areas including hikes, mountain biking and other activities. Our biggest piece of advice would be to make sure not to set up your tent too close to the pond -- we had a bullfrog as our neighbor for the evening! However we WOULD highly recommend going to the Walnut Hollow Ranch store and buying steak and other local goods. Amazing stuff!
We enjoyed our stay at Chattooga Belle Farm. The Farm has tons of features -- the store, vineyard, campsite, distillery, disc golf, star gazing and more. We enjoyed a fresh and delicious lunch before heading out for the day at the bistro. The camping area is removed from the main areas so it is private and spacious.
We loved our experience at Zen on the Lake! Waking up early is worth it to spend some quiet time on the dock, letting the fog burn off the lake in early morning light. We also enjoyed a nice fire through sunset and a peaceful night near the lake. The proximity to Atlanta is fantastic which makes it a great (and cost effective) alternative to staying in the city. Georgia was a very accommodating host, happy to give you as much privacy as you like or equally happy to share her knowledge of the native species she grows on her land. She's also responsive to suggestions and eager to improve your experience. I would absolutely recommend!
