Intro: My husband & I are taking some time off from the “real world” to travel & enjoy life. We sold our home & purchased a 38’ RV which we live in full time for now. We enjoy peace/solitude, love the outdoors & look forward to recharging/reenergizing life!
We were politely greeted & shown where to park. Site had full hookups, everything worked, site was directly off road but we enjoyed a peaceful nights sleep. The host was very nice! Short drive into town that has a great historic downtown area with breweries & wonderful restaurants. It’s an economy campground, no frills but exactly as advertised, we felt safe & we would stay again.
Christine greeted us upon arrival, explained the layout & told us to pick a spot. She’s super friendly & has a great little business running rentals on her property. We enjoyed chatting with her! The property is a large open field, quiet & very peaceful. We definitely recommend!
Cindy was an amazing host & her property is a hidden gem! She went above & beyond to make sure we found the best spot for our big rig & let us borrow fishing poles. She provides picnic tables, fire rings with wood & a lovely outhouse which we did not need but others may find very useful. My husband & I enjoyed a very peaceful evening next to the pond watching the fish jump & the turtles peek their heads up waiting to be fed. The property has many camping options, including 30 amp service next to a shed. Wish we could have stayed longer, there is something very special about this lovely site.
Ed’s place was everything we expected it to be & we loved our 7 night stay on his property in a rural residential neighborhood. Properties are large so neighbors aren’t close by & it’s very peaceful. The property offers amazing 360 degree views of the beautiful skies in New Mexico.
As described the site is a nicely poured concrete slab with 30 & 50 amp electric, water & sewer. There was also a nice picnic table for use. The site is next to Ed’s home which was fine with us, he’s a great guy! We met him once upon arrival, we text back & forth a few times & that was it.
We definitely recommend this site & look forward to returning. It’s a quick, easy drive into town as well as a nice drive to Kasha-Katuwe & Bandelier National Monument, but every evening we looked forward returning to enjoy the peacefulness & beautiful sunsets!
