Our time here was very memorable. We are huge animal lovers so this was just perfect for us, our only downside was not staying longer so we had more time to play with the animals! The farm was LGBT friendly was a warm surprise to us that we greatly appreciated! It was a beautiful location and closer to needed stores than we expected so that was a plus. Some of the animals are in different sections, and near the main hanging out are (with tables, chairs, and firepit), they are there too, we completely loved that just keep in mind that obviously then there might be poop scattered. We appreciated being so close to the animals, though be aware some of them like to run around in the dark near you, nothing wrong, just don't be surprised if you hear in the night that it's them and not anything else! It actually gave us comfort knowing they were around. I know we would have preferred the firepit closer to the main hang out area, but we didn't mind going down the hill a little.
I always prefer listings that have bathrooms, though I would have rathered known prior to booking, going to the outdoor bathroom required going over a ladder. Obviously, you're camping, but in the middle of the night that isn't my preference. I will say, they offer the use of their bathroom which really helped us. I did feel very awkward going into their home to use it, but we're shy people so I'm sure others wouldn't feel the same. The mentioning of their cameras was more times than we expected, though we completely understood it, it was just a little awkward for us. I cannot blame them though. It did make things confusing for us, as they mention skinny dipping, but not knowing where cameras were we were not comfortable considering it (though we're shy, so then again we probably wouldn't have considered anyways)
We really appreciated their kindness and it really helped brighten our trip. I would definitely recommend camping here, I mean who doesn't love waking up to donkeys!
We had a really great experience at this campsite. It was nicely secluded and private, but very close to our car and the road giving us the best of both worlds. The fire pit was nice, as well as the outhouse (never seen a toilet that made it into ashes!). We were disappointed though to arrive and find no firewood provided (as it said in the listing there would be), after contacting the host they said they do not provide firewood and we could look around their property for some but it was slim pickings. We don’t mind bringing our own firewood, it’s just we specifically didn’t because we thought it’s be available. We did appreciate the hosts quick texting replies. We really did appreciate the campsite and did like it! We also liked the privacy of the whole camping, as it was just a straight walk to campsite no meet and greet, we’re pretty introverted so it worked great for us! We would camp again, dispite the firewood problem and would recommend it! Waking up to the stream was great!
