We loved our trip to Hill Country Tipi's. These air-conditioned tipis are great to come back to after spending a hot day out on the Guadalupe. We floated on the river and enjoyed cooking a meal over the fire. Would love to come back to this spot!
Hill Country Retreat is amazing! They really went above and beyond. It's a great location for checking out Pedernales Falls State Park, the Hill Country wineries, and Hamilton Pool. It was a comfy and spacious cabin. We would definitely stay here again.
CampEZ is so close to downtown Austin! This would be a great place to stay with a little bit bigger group during ACL or SXSW. It has a fun, laid-back atmosphere, with a definite Austin/eclectic-vibe. We enjoyed it.
We loved the Cedar Arms Campground! The host Tom was extremely welcoming and gave us a tour of the property upon arrival. This is the perfect place to bring a bigger group. The central dining area has plenty of seating, tiki torches, a large overhead tarp, and even a little bar setup. We also took advantage of the great swimming spot in the South Fork Skokomish River that runs next to the property.
This campground is a great spot if you plan on heading up to Olympic National Park, which we did!
As soon as we arrived Patricia offered us Iced Tea to cool off, and showed us the campsite--a cleared plot about 100 feet from her house (the toilet is a bathroom in her house). She showed us the water hose and electricity access point in the little shed next to her home. We were cozy and had a beautiful view of the stars--it was a nice place to camp as we were passing through.
