This was an absolutely incredible experience. Maria and Timmie have been such great communicators and they’re hospitality is unmatched. The location was perfect for our huge RV and full water and electric hook ups were available. We woke to an amazing view of the foggy bayou. This place is Cajun paradise! Highly recommended to all.
This was an incredibly relaxing and peaceful hipcamp.
The property is a fully functioning regenerative farm. The hosts, Dave and Jenna were wonderful. They gave me a full tour of space, introduced me to all the animals, and even taught me about some of the regenerative practices they're using.
The campsite is located in a private thicket of trees with great views of the valley. A fire pit is provided so long as the local fire risk is low.
The property backs up to the Tualatin River. This is great for fishing, a quick swim, or a lazy tube float. They also have a bathroom for use by hipcampers in the barn on the lower front of the property.
If you're looking for a laid back environment to recharge the batteries, then look no further. I'd also highly recommend buying some of their free flowing honey. It's delicious. :)
This was THE BEST hipcamp we've ever stayed at.
The property is located NE of the confluence of the Wind River and Columbia. It's a totally private homestead with acres and acres of outdoor opportunities. Hiking. Mountain biking. Whitewater kayaking. SUPing. Fishing. Hotsprings. Everything! It's like a private adventure paradise.
We did a little paddle boarding in the afternoon, made dinner, and then, guided by the light of a nearly full moon, made a trek out to the hotsprings. It was an experience for the books.
You seriously have to check this place out.
We had a wonderful time at this Hipcamp. The location is extremely private and peaceful. It's only 10 minutes from town and 2 minutes from a beautiful pond. We took the opportunity to fish before dinner.
Our host Dave was extremely accommodating as well. He provided firewood, water, a compost bucket for the bathroom, and even gave us a tour of the barn in the morning. We fed one of the baby goats as well.
Overall, I would highly recommend this Hipcamp to anyone looking for a relaxing weekend get away.
This was a beautiful place to spend the night. We were greeted by Brad at the main house upon arrival and directed to camp down by the lake. The lake is stocked with paddle boards, row boats, and fishing rods. (all for use by hipcampers) We spent the evening fly fishing and caught a 10 inch rainbow trout. Aside from the lake there's no shortage of other activities. You can: hike the trails around the property, play a game of disk golf, or enjoy the communal fire pit with pully-lowered cooking grate. (see pictures)
Do consider that this site is less private than some others. You'll be camping alongside others by the lake. On a positive note, this is an awesome way to meet new folks.
Overall, I would highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a fun summer lake experience.
We had an awesome time at this site. The host, Derek, is an amazing guy and his company made our stay even better than expected.
This property is quickly becoming a fully sustainable permaculture farm. From the composting toilet to completely off-grid power system; it's the real deal.
If you're looking for an awesome place to crash that's close to Eugene, we would highly recommend it.
One quick note - If it's raining, expect a little mud. ;)
Overall, great experience.
Rockside Farm was definitely one of the best campsites we've had the chance to visit. We stayed at the Cedar site and we're blown away by the amenities and layout. Think fire pit, grill, and king size bed!
Craig and Jenn are amazing people and extremely gracious hosts. Craig even took the time to show us the morning egg harvest.
10/10 would recommend this site to all.
Rolling golden fields, sunshine, and wine! This was an incredible piece of property. It's extremely private and relaxing. There's no lack of beautiful spaces to set up your tent. You can choose from the vineyards, grass fields, or even a concrete pad overlooking a small pond. -we went for the grass field.
If the views and peacefulness weren't enough, there's also bocce ball, tether ball, corn hole, and full playground to keep you entertained.
Overall, it was an incredible experience and I would definitely recommend this hipcamp to anyone.
INCREDIBLE PLACE & HOST! We arrived in the early afternoon and were greeted by Shannon and her four-legged companion Jaeger, a friendly blue weimaraner. Shannon was extremely welcoming and took the time to give us a full tour.
The small cabin is nestled into the far back corner of Shannon's property. Her attention to detail in the construction of the structure is what really set it apart. From the solid-wood victorian era door to the translucent corrugated ceiling, to call it a well designed space would be a dramatic understatement.
The main house is equally beautiful and Shannon welcomed us to share this space as well: A full kitchen, bathroom+shower, dinner table, and living room.
The sun wained and the temperature dropped to a very comfortable 75. We sat in the back yard, exchanged stories and drank beers. We lost track of time. It was close to 9pm and we were hungry so we asked Shannon for a recommendation. (A word of advice - Waiting this late was a bad call on our part. The restaurants in walking distance close at either 9 or 10. )
She suggested Sasquatch Brewing since they close later than most. We were not disappointed. Can't go wrong with Blackened chicken tacos and a hazy IPA.
We slept like logs and woke up to birds chirping and walls painted in early morning sunlight.
