The public campground area was lovely with an amphitheater, kitchen area and a clean bathroom. We enjoyed sitting around the campfire at night. It’s set up more for tent camping. Each tent camping site seemed private. However, it’s not quite set up for camper van camping as was our situation. This was not made clear to us when we booked. We were expecting a dedicated space. Instead, we were directed to camp in the parking lot. We felt quite exposed. It felt as if we were sleeping in someone’s driveway. When we raised the issue with Beth, we were promptly given a partial refund. I would recommend this spot for any tent campers.
The Sis-Q ranch was beautiful. Jan and Tom were friendly, pleasant, and interesting hosts who have one of the best camping sites we've stayed at.
The main area is very, very large. The green grass was barefoot-soft, and well-kept. The property has wonderful views of the surrounding hills, and has a plethora of adult trees around the perimeter to provide great shade when you want it.
The facilities--clean, full showers, sinks and toilets, make bathing a pleasure.
The surrounding area is as picturesque as it gets; Sis-Q Ranch serves as a great base for regional exploration.
Finally, Jan and Tom were the most pleasant hosts we've met. We enjoyed spending time with them, sharing a drink, and just chatting. They are both interesting, week-read people who are genuinely nice.
