Such a fun place to get away for a few days! The property is huge, with lots of trails for exploring and biking. There are a lot of sites close together in one spot. We really enjoyed having access to the community kitchen, which includes a propane grill, running water and sinks for dishes, and a few fire pits and seating areas. It's really nice place to have a comfortable meal and makes clean up a breeze! Communication with the host was a little difficult both online and in person, but we ultimately made it work and had a really great time!
What a dreamy getaway space! Cindy is a spectacular host and made sure every little detail was perfect! The tent looks right out over hood canal and was a perfect place to wake up each morning. It was so convenient to have all the little luxuries (kettle and french press, a propane grill and fireplace, refrigerator, super comfy big bed with lots of fluffy pillows, and electricity)! So much fun to head down to the private beach and watch the scuba divers head out. We loved this spot and definitely plan to come back soon!
We had such a wonderful time! Our site was very private and it was great to have a few days away from everything! The site itself was equipped with a few benches and a small table, perfect for food prep or card games! Tracy also was kind enough to provide a propane fire pit, so we were able to enjoy the campfire ambiance, even with a burn ban! The property also has a fun community area with lawn games and hammocks, which were a fun afternoon activity! Overall, we really enjoyed ourselves and would highly recommend this campsite!!
We had a great time staying at Nate's place! The island is so beautiful and it's a great place to escape for a weekend! It was great to already have a tent set up, complete with queen size bed and lots of amenities. The available firewood and drinking water made everything easy and simple! The site itself is located in a little alcove in Nate's front yard, but once you're there, feels private and homey.
I would recommend reserving your place on the ferry, as we were unaware that was an option and barely made it on our planned ferry trip, but that in itself was an adventure and we had a great time!
We spent some time in the nearby towns of Friday Harbor and Roche Harbor, both close by, but far enough away to feel like you're in the wilderness. They both have a funky island vibe and are a great addition to check out!
Definitely recommend staying at Wildflower Roundabout! We had such a great time!
