Susan and her friendly homesteaders are excellent hosts. We set up a tent in the large yard, met a diverse group of kind-hearted people, enjoyed communal meals and had engaging conversations in the evening next to the campfire ring. At night the orchestra of crickets and frogs was intense and beautiful. We had access to the indoor bathrooms and water/kitchen facilities, which made a multi-night stay very easy. Susan was also incredibly approachable and helpful. Instead of a secluded camping experience my boyfriend and I were surprised to be welcomed into a new home.
My father and I stayed here after a couple days of backpacking and we couldn't have been more comfortable. It was a little tricky to find however the directions were perfect. Communication with Dana was easy and she was very much available. We had a great time grilling and dining outside, relaxing and falling asleep to nature sounds. What an incredible stay!
