Loved the site so much, we stayed an extra night!
Arcosanti
in Arcosanti, ArizonaMuch more than just a campsite!
Pete was super friendly and able to answer all of our questions in person and via Hipcamp messaging. The campsite was magnificent, nestled between a bunch of cypress and olive trees. You get beautiful views of the canyon within walking distance. We camped in October and it wasn’t too cold at night reaching about a low of 50° F. The sun will get your tent pretty hot in the the early morning ( 8am ish ) , but it’s nice to wake up early, do some yoga and start the day.
We were able to use the community spaces including basic kitchen with stove top, microwave, etc. There is also a very clean public restroom at the top of their amphitheater.
Pro Tip: Be sure to look at Arcosanti’s website for any events happening. We were lucky enough to view a show of “River and Stars” produced by the Human Nature Dance Theater.
