My wife and I enjoyed our time camping at the Sweetspot. It is clearly a labor of love for Ed and his family. The spot is nice and they are working hard all the time to make improvements. It was nice to have a composting toilet and a sink to wash dishes in. They were putting in another bathroom the day we left, so that is great as well. The location is fairly convenient to a lot to do in the area. There are wineries and a some good hikes less than 30 minutes away. If you drive an hour there are even more options. The only thing that bothered us on this trip were the bugs. Surprisingly there were no mosquitos, but there were a lot of gnats and other flying insects that would often be in your face. We car camped in a spot along the edge of the forest so that may have been the reason. Just bring some citronella candles and it should help a lot. The Sweetspot is a nice place to camp.
