Welcome to our (soon-to-be) Tiny House Community called Glamping with the Gormans. Our names are Amanda and Phil Gorman and we are full-time travel vloggers. We both met while traveling the USA in our tiny houses and the rest is history! Together we have driven across the USA twice with both of our homes attending tiny house festivals as guest speakers and helping other's turn their tiny home dreams into realities. Amanda is a traveling artist, bartender, and works on logo and website designs, while Phil is a carpenter and has been building tiny houses for people during our travels. After spending two years in the the community, we decided to settle down (for now) and start to build a tiny house community of our own.
Our goals for the next few years are to have several tiny houses available to rent on the property, a garden, rain water collection, a well drilled, septic, solar power and electrical on site as well as... host tiny house events, retreats, meetups, artist markets and much more. Being part of the tiny living community has been one of the most rewarding things we have ever been part of and we want to be able to share that with everyone who comes and stays with us. You might know us from social media as we have been featured at several tiny house festivals, on some larger YouTuber's channels, in magazines, calendars and much more...but, if you don't know us we are SO excited to meet and connect with you! It will take a lot of community strength, sweat, and lots of laughs till the property is completely turned into the space we hope to create, but we hope with the help of other like-minded individuals we can get things rolling (no pun intended).
We want to offer our home to y'all as a community space to share and we are opened to the idea of longer stays as well as help on the property (i.e. helping create walking/running trails, creating a garden, yard work etc.). We are hoping within the next few months to have a well, septic, and electric hookup on the property to share with our guests. We just recently put in a gravel driveway to access the property and the rest of the property at the moment is grass and dirt. We can fit several tiny houses/RVs/vans/skoolies at a time as well as several tents. We are also opened to the idea of using the space for retreats etc. So if you have an idea, don't be shy and just ask away. My husband and I are pretty flexible people and if you are looking for a longer stay please let us know and we can work out a price that works for all parties.
When you Glamp with the Gormans you will enjoy more privacy and seclusion than an RV park or campground will provide...plus we're all about community! Our 5 acres is located outside the city limits of Elma and Shelton (about a 30 minute drive to both) which has grocery shopping, gyms, hospitals, shopping, restaurants. Walmart, etc. We are located 30 minutes off of the 101 or 30 minutes off of 12. We are located just 15 minutes from Lake Nahwatzel which you can access the lake with your boats, kayaks, or just go for a swim. There's also a bar/restaurant there as well with great hospitality. There are several rivers and trails nearby about 10-15 minutes away from our home. We are also located 45 minutes from Olympia, 45 minutes from Aberdeen, and about 1 hour and 15 minutes from the coast. We are just at the base of the Olympic National park and in approx. an hour you can be inside the park. Nahwatzel lake is our closest lake, however we are just 32 miles from Wynoochee Lake and 22 miles from Sylvia Lake. Want to check out Seattle for the day? Only 103 miles from our property with three different scenic routes to chose from to get there.
Being that we are just starting to establish the property, please note that your vehicle must be self-contained and no dumping on the property. We appreciate you taking the time to read more about us and our home and look forward to meeting y'all!
