Little Arnold A-frame is a dream! I live in San Francisco and this cabin in Arnold was the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle. It also is about 2 mins away from a great grocery store, pretty close to Bear Valley ski resort, very close to Calaveras Big Trees State Park and so many other great things, you won't run out of things to do in the area.
If staying in and getting cozy is the name of your game, then I have two words for you, movie projector! Andria truly has thought of everything you could need here. A fully equipped kitchen, a stockpile of board games, towels, linens, etc - I could honestly go on. Also, during your stay, if you are unsure of anything the Host has provided a robust cabin guide chock full of local recommendations and instructions on how to use everything. If there is anything else you are unsure of, Andria is really responsive!
I truly felt refreshed after my weekend getaway here, if you are looking for a quick getaway from the city or it's your first time in the area, you really don't need to look any further. I already can't wait to book my next trip!
What a great spot! I was working in Nevada city over the weekend, and the location of the Inn Town Campground is great - you're within minutes of everything the city has to offer without feeling like it.
The trailers felt very private with fences around each of them. The inside of the trailer was very clean and had everything you could need. I shared the trailer with a few friends and ended up sleeping in one of the bunk bed nooks, I was thankful a pillow, blanket and sleeping bag were provided.
Next time I am in the area, I wll not hesitate to book a stay here again!
Where do I begin? This is one of the coolest Hipcamps I've ever stayed at. Upon my arrival, Jim our Host, was there to greet me in the parking area to shuttle me to my cabin. On our way up he gave me a brief history of the property and I was surprised to learn this property had been a kid's summer camp for over 80 years.
The setting is as you would expect it and more! Since I arrived after dark, I did not get to enjoy it until the next morning. Man, was it worth the wait. I fell in LOVE with the ara while sipping my coffee at the dining hall and watching the sunrise over the rolling hills. If you have time, I encourage you to explore the property. There are so many cool spots to discover (such as a great lookout point hint hint). Throughout our whole trip, we had plenty to keep us occupied like a morning tennis match and an afternoon at the pool - our host was also full of suggestions of things to do throughout Carmel valley, so if you need ideas don't hesitate to ask.
After days full of various activities, I looked forward to retiring to my cabin each night. I was surprised to find out the cabins were original to the property. Jim and his team have done an amazing job of refinishing them. Not only did I feel safe and protected from the elements, but the beds in these cabins are arguably better than my $800.00 bed I have at home!
Overall, I was very very pleased with my trip to Camp at Carmel Valley. I felt I had a great idea of what to expect from their listing details but, I was also pleasantly surprised with the attention to detail that has gone into the guest experience here. You can tell a lot of love has gone into this place and I am already eagerly awaiting my next trip out there!
Big thanks to Jim and the whole team for an amazing experience!
Where do I even begin? Paradise Shores is a hidden gem! The view of the reservoir with the mountains in the background is incredibly serene - I recommend going for a sunrise paddle with one of the free paddle boards provided. Another great thing is it full of all the amenities you need (laundry, showers, outdoor kitchen, paddleboards, etc). It is well maintained (meticulously even) and the friendly Hosts are always nearby should you need anything or have any questions. I'm already planning my next trip back!
