We had a great time on Tim's island. We were able to use his canoe to get to the island with our dog. Tim met us on the shore and brought our gear over in his motor boat for us. He had cleared out a space for us, brought a fire ring, cut wood, and provided table and chairs. We were only there for a night but had a great time. Tim was a fantastic host, a phone call away if we needed anything, and called to check in on us when a quick storm rolled in. We hope to go back for a longer stay!
We had a very nice stay at the Village-Farmhouse, which is a secluded rustic cabin that used to be a hunting lodge, equipped with basic amenities including a hand washing station and hand sanitizer. The propane four-top stove was perfect for meals we made and easy to use. Joan and Leo were very accommodating and the site was well maintained. Like it says in the listing the site is about a 10-15 minute hike uphill from parking spot. That being said Joan and Leo met us at the parking spot and drove our cooler and other heavy gear to the site so we didn't have to lug everything up. Their property is large and has opportunity for hiking and they provide detailed maps. Trails are not blazed but we had no trouble finding our way around, their property is also adjacent to a wildlife reserve, very beautiful! The site was only a 20 minute drive to Ithaca. It was a beautiful, secluded stay and Joan and Leo were easy to reach and communicative the entire time. We had a fantastic visit.
This was a beautiful spot - we walked the labyrinth several times, surrounded by birds, berries, and flowers everywhere. The spot was clear and had a small table. There was a path to a shared fire pit as well that even had a grill set up. We never met Kelli but she did write us to let us know there would be campers at another one of the spots as well. While her description says you can contact her about using bathrooms in the house, there was nothing set up just for campers. This was not a surprise and did not bother us at all. We would definitely stay here again - our dog did not even want to get back in the car to leave.
