By far the most beautiful camping spot I've ever been to. A mile away from the Park entrance this campground is inside Monument Valley and it's perfect. The host was sweet and helpful. There is a solar shower that I needed very badly and the she brought me firewood in a wagon with everything I needed. This spot is amazing. I've wanted to see Monument Valley for years and I wouldn't do it any other way. Thanks guys!
I really liked the host and the other campers I met here however "Oasis" is pushing it. This is a flattened out area in the woods. Yes some of the trees are oaks but there was no real view to speak of other than that. I could see the host's house up the hill and I wasn't even sure if I had found the right spot since it is just a cleared area and i was looking for the oasis. Where is it? I called to check and never heard back. Not my favorite spot.
This spot is gorgeous and the sites are great. Tables, fire pit, chairs all along a creek with a lovely farm behind you. Horses and a big barn with a friendly farm dog that jumped in my lap and was sweet to my annoying puppy the whole time. I will be back someday!
