If you are looking for a private quiet camping spot away from the crowds this is it. There was no noise or light pollution of any kind, only the sound of nature. The site is really well kept and Grant has even provided water and a box full of things you might need (paper plates, tissues, etc...). We only got to meet Grant later in the evening but he was really friendly and helpful. The recommendation I would give you is to go in Spring, Fall, Winter. It was very hot and humid last weekend :-).
We loved it! I nearly don't want to get the word out about this place and keep to myself :-) The camp is beautiful under big ancient oaks and clean and there even is a private outhouse but the best part is that there is no light or noise pollution, which is rare to find in usual camping places and the other camping spots on the property are far away enough that you feel like you are alone. I would definitely go back there.
If you want a private camping experience 30 minutes from Austin this is the place. The forest and camping spot are beautiful. There is a great fire pit and a bbq table and Karen and Graham are very welcoming. The camping spot is secluded from the farm but you are welcome to walk around, use the trails and visit the animals. They have baby goats! Who doesn't like baby goats :-)
