Our experience with Camping with Rescue Animals was nothing short of amazing. The property is easy to get and once you are in, you feel in a whole new world. Here the animals get to freely roam and live a happy easy going life. There are many spots where you can pitch your tent, we chose to set up ours underneath the big tree. There's good room for parking if you want to sleep in your car or if you need to park your RV. It was quite the experience coming into an environment where animals are free to do as they wish and hang out with them and live there next to them during our time here. Ilana does a great job of making a difference with her foundation 2 The Rescue Animal Sanctuary. Make sure you come check out this place at some point and experience these beautiful animals.
Camp Coyote Acres is by far, one of the best camping spots I've been to yet. Mike and his son Trenton have done a tremendous job in putting this place together so other people can also enjoy the the desert life. This campsite has an amazing night sky, lots of land to explore, beautiful sunrises and sunsets and soon enough, campers will have a restaurant so close to them they could walk to it. Mike plans to open a small and affordable restaurant for those who stay at the campsite offering some of the best homemade food for miles. Overall, I would definitely recommend for you to visit this campsite no only because of the stunning location but also because Mike and Trenton are some of the most down to earth, humble guys I've ever met! They run a stray dog program where they take dogs from the streets, heal and feed them and find them a new home. They do this with their own money, so that just tells you how humble they are. They also have a track in their property where they rent out motorcycles and dune buggies and if you ask nicely Mike and Trenton might give you a special guided off-road tour of the history of the region. Make sure you bring your camera!
This place is kept impeccable! It is so well kept, you need to experience it yourself!
The entire campground is surrounded by trees and the ground is very comfy grass and its also located right next to a small river.
Depending on the time of year so come, you might need bug spray because as you might know, mosquitoes and other bugs like hanging along the water.
The campground is located about 30 minutes from Austin with some gas stations near by in case you might want a snack or something - the closest one would probably be 10 min away.
I would totally recommend this location, it's very quiet and peaceful but it's far away from anyone where you don't have to be overly quiet. You've got to visit, it is a perfect getaway location or even if your driving by.
This is definitely a place you want to check out. We were welcomed with big smiles and were told everything we needed to know. We got free firewood and the ability to choose the exact place we wanted to set up camp.
We had a good night of rest mainly due to the fact that the ground surface was grass and the property was quiet. The next morning we were able to go to Cuyahoga Valley National Park which was only a few minutes down the road.
You have to check out this location, you wont regret it! :)
