We stayed there for two days and had a great time. The tents are very nice, have very comfortable beds and they include a mini fridge along with a record player which provided great ambience at night. Highly recommend this place as it is right on Canyon Rd and the there is plenty to see!
We had a great time in the open spaces the camp provided. We set up camp under a huge oak tree and had a fire pit provided. There was no scarcity of firewood as there are broken cedar branches all over the place. My daughter absolutely loved seeing the free roaming deer and cattle in the property. Did I mention that it’s about a 5 minute drive from Luckenbach, Texas?!
It was my one year old daughter’s first time camping and we couldn’t have picked a better place. The site was safe and secluded, we could hear the river running and were fortunate enough to camp during a well lit full moon night. We also took our dogs, a boxer and a vizsla and they just might have enjoyed the stay a little more than us. My vizsla had a blast swimming in the river and exploring the area. We will definitely stay again when in the Texas Hill Country!
The wife and I stayed here for our last little getaway before our baby’s arrival and we are very glad we chose this little old cabin! It’s only an hour away from Dallas and it was perfect to get away from all the city distractions and enjoy the peace and quiet with our two dogs. Joan was beyond helpful as she has the cabin stocked with essential supplies and the interior vintage decor was picture perfect. She and her son supplied us with more than plenty wood to keep the cabin nice and cozy during the near freezing temperatures. We’re already talking to our friends about coming back and folks are asking for info on the cabin. We will definitely come back soon!
Boot Mesa was amazing! The solitude next to a gorgeous and imposing monolith was an unforgettable experience. Mark the host was very nice and very helpful! Highly recommend especially for the photographs at sunset.
