We stayed at Carole's site for 3 nights over Labor Day weekend and had a great time. The location was perfect for exploring Cape Cod and we used it as a basecamp for day trips to Martha's Vineyard and Ptown. The site itself may have moved slightly from the pictures as you can no longer drive right up to it. However, it's probably less than 50 feet from the parking spot, so that's not really a problem. The site itself was pretty private, with a great view of the pond (site is only steps from it). There is a golf course next door so occasionally you hear a golf cart buzz by, but it's sufficiently wooded that you rarely see them. There were a few tables and access to the boat house for storing anything in case of rain. The site isn't huge, so a larger tent may require some rearranging to find a good flat spot. The bathroom, kitchen, and fire pit area were all in great condition and shared amongst campers (just us) and Carole's airbnb guests staying in the house, of which there were a few while we were there. Overall, we had a good time and would recommend this spot.
We had a great time at Rich's site. He (and the dogs!) greeted us on arrival and showed us around, helped us with some firewood, etc. Somehow, we were lucky enough to be the only people there when we showed up, so had our pick of the sites. We picked one of the newer sites in the wooded area, and had plenty of room to spread out. There was space for larger tents, and the fire ring and picnic table setup was all we needed. If all the sites were booked, there are a couple that might feel a little close together (perfect for larger groups), but still much roomier than standard campsites. However, if there are only a couple groups, this place still feels incredibly private. Case in point, another group showed up our second night, and other than seeing them on our drive back to the site, we never even noticed them. We took a short drive over to Sam's Point and did some hiking during the day, and visited some wineries in the area. Had a blast and would definitely consider coming back. Thanks!
