The long drive to the coffee farm in the beautiful Las Marias mountains was fun and challenging. Staying at a coffee farm we hoped for some kind initial engagement the host. We were also hoping to learn about the farm and thier practices. You have to rent a car in Puerto Rico to get here, this is not a convenient location where you just go to camp. We were there solely to visit a coffee farm. That being said we did recieve some wonderful hospitality and a wealth of information about the flora, fauna, and culture from the temporary workers there. We shared a common space which allowed for some quality interactions. The campsite provided is next to a river and is a fairly steep hike down from the common area. Bring a light source for sure. The campsite is very nice and may come with a friendly K9 companion. He led us to the site and in return he expected to spend the night in the tent with us. There is a waterfall near by. The true highlight for us was the farm workers and the dog we renamed "Mosquito", they made our stay completely inspiring.
