Great place to camp after hiking Scotchman’s peak - only 2 miles from the trailhead. Jeanette was a great host! She made us feel very welcome and treated us like we were old friends. We enjoyed meeting her family, horses and sweet dog Bella, as well as hearing about her cross country horseback trek. The property is remote and off grid. Very quiet and secure feeling with good privacy at the campsite. Firewood available for purchase. Potable water at the house.
The road in is a little narrow and rough, but we had no problem getting our 13’ Scamp trailer down it and any two wheel drive car should be able to make the trek in dry weather. Would recommend texting the host for an update on road conditions if the weather is iffy and you don’t have 4wd.
