Deja’s property was very accessible, the road to get there is well maintained and directions were easy to understand and accurate. It’s in close proximity to a lake and a nice swimming hole. We stayed in site 1 one of the glamping tents. There’s a big outdoor rug with chairs outside the tent, a nice little seating area. Close but not too close to the bathroom. There were plenty of blankets and the bed was comfortable. I will say if you have more than 2 adults staying in the tent bring a little extra padding, the second bed is on the floor and a little hard. I think kids would be fine with it. The toilets are compost and were nicer than what you might find at a public campground. Spray sanitizer and hand sanitizer were available. The outdoor kitchen is a dream...what a great space. Everything you need to cook is provided. The outdoor shower was great with warm water and there’s an outdoor claw foot tub in the garden amongst the flowers. I would definitely recommend this place and hope to return
This is a truly magical place. I didn’t want to leave!
Two important things:
the road to get here is no joke. I have awd and i got a flat and overheated several times. Make sure you have everything you need to change your tire because there’s no phone service and no AAA out here
This is basically camping, so bring everything you need if you were camping, you just have a lovely cozy yurt to sleep in instead of a tent. You’ll need all your own cooking utensils etc, blankets (it got cold at night), towels.
Oh and the bathroom was great!! Flushing toilet, running water to wash hands. Potable water was right next to the yurt too.
I will absolutely return, soaking in the tub and looking at the stars was magical. Thank you for sharing your land.
This is a magical place! I wish i could live here! The bathrooms are composting toilets, nice and clean and zero smells. Easily accessible drinking water. The bath house by the main house is so beautiful, taking a shower while overlooking the river is beyond relaxing. The water in the river was warm and crystal clear and there’s a nice little dock to relax in the sun. I will definitely return.
This is a nice alternative to the RV/generator nightmare that is Bodega Dunes Campground. Olamentko is situated along a small creek on a grassy slope and has nice shade coverage. Close but not too close to the very clean non-stinky porta potties. The porta potties even have little foot pump sinks with soap! One of them pumped dirt out with the water...but one worked great and it was nice to be able to wash your hands. A steep walk uphill you'll find pay showers. You can also walk down to the beach, not a short walk, but a pleasant walk. The slope is sort of steep, it was slightly difficult to find a flat spot but we did ok. Check in was pleasant, very nice host. Charged $5 for my dog, I did not see that posted but I may have overlooked it. Not a big deal. Pleasant stay but nothing super special.
