Past trip
in WildTender Ranch & Rescue, CaliforniaI've stayed a few times at WildTender and it never disappoints. If you need a magical spot to crash for the night so that you can wake up early and experience the Slow Coast before the tourists roll in for the weekend, this is your spot.

Jim and company are amazing hosts and made our group trip an absolutel blast. Accommodations were exactly as described, and the brand new bathrooms were super nice. If you have a big group that wants a classic “summer camp” venue with endless games and activities, this is the spot!

The communal energy on this property is truly amazing. Deja and her family are the kind of warm, inviting people that make you feel at home and go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. They've thought of everything, from towels in the shower to fresh apples and clean wine glasses in the magical outdoor kitchen. This is a unique off-the-grid oasis. That said, if you're aren't in the mood to talk with others around the fire or bump into a few other campers in the communal kitchen, this might not be the secluded getaway you want. If you are in for an experience and want to glamp it up, don't miss this Hipcamp.

I chose this spot to celebrate my birthday and it did not disappoint. It's the perfect camp to use as a home base to explore Bodega, Dillon, Tomales, and other awesome parts of the coast. Our hosts, John and Lesley were super accommodating. The camp was well kept and exactly how they described them. 10/10! It was the perfect place to sit around a campfire, explore the redwoods, and spend quality time with friends. Don't forget to visit the Mercantile for fresh eggs and meat from the farm!
Past trip
in Mt. Shasta 360, CaliforniaSometimes you wonder if a campsite is worth the price tag when it doesn't have basic facilities like a bathroom. Well, this experienced camper can tell you that this place does. Waking up to the unobstructed view of Mt. Shasta is simply priceless. Seriously. The photos in the listing are fantastic, but they can't do the view justice. It's a peaceful place with only a few owls and coyotes to break the night silence. In the morning, as the sun rises and the desert landscape begins to warm up, the smell of sage and Juniper trees fills the air. I will echo the reviews from others and say that a vehicle with high clearance is best. The sagebrush can and will do a number on the bottom of a low-riding sedan.
