This site was a great deal! Loved the privacy of it, even if other campers were there, there is enough room to spread out and have your own space. Also, the fireflies at night were like looking at a landscape covered in twinkling light, I've never seen so many fireflies in my life. It was such a cool experience.
I had a site just off of the state road. Perfect for my one night stop over. The towns in the area are great! Wellsville has a great brewery and the Cuba Cheese shop is always a favorite of my family when we are in the area. I bet this sites further back would be a great spot for a longer wilderness escape.
We came up with this title at our campfire with people from the campground. This place is so cool to walk around and experience. They really have thought of everything you might need while only a short distance from Asheville and great hikes. The only thing to be aware of is the HipCamp site is right next to the community fire pit, so if you have a long day of driving after your visit, you might want to look into some of their other site options (staying in lofted truck toppers, tent sites, and a covered hammock site).
Lutrecia is doing a great job! She was very helpful and made sure I had everything I needed. She just set up a shed to be used as a communal toilet which includes a shower. There is no running water, but everything either had an electronic pump or self pump so there was plenty of water to do what you needed. She even had mini tiki torches for me to take to my campsite to keep the bugs away!
Tiffany was a great hostess! Her ranch is gorgeous and she has great plans to make it even better! She and her family are kind and helpful and I'm sure if I stayed more than one night they would have great ideas for what to do in the area.
