Julia is the sweetest! She was extremely responsive to all my questions and gave me all the information I could ever need for this spot. There was a camper's station she set up that included corn hole boards & bean bags, an extension cord connected to power, a cooler with a water jug and buckets for garbage. It's far enough out of town to feel secluded but close enough to go in and eat and even use the bathrooms at the park in Harrington (because the property doesn't have a bathroom.) I explored a waterfall nearby that she suggested to me and loved it! Even though it was freezing :) There is a ton of space to set up camp. I had a lot of fun there by myself so I can only imagine how fun it would be if I had friends with me. If you are looking for a safe and secluded spot to stay the night, I would definitely recommend this one!
I loved it here! The fire pit is super cool. Such a chill place to just hang out and enjoy the heat after the sun sets. There is an outhouse and what the host called a "summer shower" because it only has cold water. The host was super nice and accommodating and even let me hook up to power so I could keep warm with my heater :) It's very close to town and a short drive to the National Park. She has future plans to make the property even better, can't wait to see when it's complete! Definitely recommend.
If you are just in need of a bed, this is perfect! It's super close to Joshua Tree and the hosts are very nice and knowledgeable. Don't be afraid to ask for things to do in the area. The shed is very small, no power, no bathroom. just a couch that pulls out to a bed. There is a fire pit guests are welcome to use and if you are extremely desperate for a shower, you can hook up a shower head to the sink out back.
If you want a truly off grid peaceful retreat, I would definitely recommend this cabin! It is still roughing it...camping with walls. There is no power and the pipes are frozen in the winter so no showers. It may be more of a summer escape for people. There is an outhouse and plenty of firewood to keep warm. The cabin has a couch and a pull out bed with a tub of sleeping bags. I would recommend bringing your own bedding. There is a small kitchenette with a camp stove, plenty of cups and plates. It's kind of a photographers dream with those windows! The lighting was awesome.
The property is nice but the price is a bit steep for what it is. You can pull up in your RV and hook up to power which is nice! It's a short drive to town. The hosts seem very nice and will recommend hikes and restaurants in the area. It's not the most secluded place to park as there are two houses near but there was no one around when we went.
I got a VERY warm welcome upon arrival by Mo, she also delivers a delicious breakfast basket to your door! If you have been obsessed with the tiny home movement like I have you must stay here! Even you haven't...these houses are considered "tiny" but they are spacious and roomy! With full kitchens. Houses 1-5 are all the same, just different themes and color schemes, but #6 is a bit different because it doesn't have a loft. The owners Mark & Dee have a lot of exciting plans to improve this already wonderful location! It's just a short walk to some beautiful trails. I LOVE Sheltered Nook!!
Amazing!! The hosts are incredible. There are so many fun activities to do in the area and Pete will take you out clamming or crabbing if you want! The cabin is super cozy...and extremely fancy. You can watch tv while soaking in the jetted tub, which I took full advantage of. It's the best of both worlds if you want to stay in or get out and see what Tillamook has to offer!
Absolutely amazing! The hosts are extremely nice and so are the farm animals :) James Cottage was perfect with a kitchen and bed in one section, awesome bathroom separate from that building and your own private hot tub in between the two! There is a wonderful pool for all guests to enjoy and a play room for children! It's a great location about an hour from Kona Airport and right down the street from the cute town of Hawi :)
I was welcomed by Mathew and Robbie as soon as I arrived and given a tour of this wonderful place! There is a main house you are available to enjoy between 8 am to 9 pm but really you have everything you need outside. The outdoor bathroom is amazing and the kitchen has everything you need! I stayed in Cabana #3 and it was so cozy! There were two hammocks, each of which had two blankets and a pillow. There was also a towel and a cooler for storing food and drinks! It is a perfect location just a short drive from Hilo and very close to Akaka Falls.
This definitely was a retreat! It is a little slice of paradise with your own waterfall and swimming hole. Could not get any better than that! As of now the bathroom is only a port-a-potty, but Axel has plans to turn the barn into bathrooms/kitchen/ hang out spot for campers which will be awesome! There are many spots to pitch your tent, and all of them are lovely.
