Turning Earth Farms is an absolutel dream! I fell in love with the environment, the forest, the beauty, te wonderful energy, the farm anaimals within seconds of getting there. It's a beautiful place and Sara's heart is so in the right place - to grow food for the community, to offer her wonderful soap and to provide some fabulous homemade goat cheese? What, was I CAMPING? No, I was a guest on an absolutely beautiful piece of property that contained a wonderfully saturated atmosphere of love and giving! I'll go again!
WOW Doug and Shannon have a beautiful place there at Quiet in the Quakies - The Meadow! We were absolutely thrilled to be there in such a beautiful place! We were lucky that we were the only campers there and therefore had the communical fire pit and kitchen area all to ourselves - but it wuld be also amazing to share the space with new friends! I highly recommend this beautiful spot!
This property is a little slice of heaven! The property itself is beautiful, surrounded by trees and water! You can hear the wather running and gurgling and it is a fabulous lullaby! Our hosts were absolutely delightful and this was a most fabulous way for my daughter and I to spend two nights of our road trip. Shannon taught my daughter how to make soap and we are still on our road trip yet she is already writing down herb combinations for the soap she will make at home. Salmon is a fabulous little city and if you go - visit Odd Fellows coffee shop and by all means by a loaf of bread and some Sheep's cheese - it will not disappoint!. I highly recommend this place it is sweet!
Joe was a fabulous host. We were almost two hours late due to heavy traffic, and he came out and greeted us and showed us around, introduced us to the wonderful glamp site - showed us how to operate the propane fire pit, the stove, etc. He showed us the outdoor shower, the bathroom, etc. He had cool bottles of water and chocolate bars in a mini fridge for us to use - very sweet. I highly recommend this glamp spot or tent spot - it sure was nice after a 13 hour drive to just drive in have food and go to bed without putting up out tent, etc.! If ever I am in that area again - I will stay!
