Lovely spot next to the water. We stayed near the swimming hole but I really would love to explore more of this area. I wasn't sure where else to go. We walked up around the bend and found a yellow gate to explore on-foot per the owner's direction. Looking forward to our next trip here soon, to search for another great place with a larger group. The water access was great, a little trail that pops down to a shallow rock bed that the kids loved playing in.
Great escape with exactly what we were looking for. Camping spot has a nice secluded, flat, and shady space to setup your tent and a few chairs around the ring. This would be great for groups or family. Water is nearby with shallow and deeper areas for swimming and fishing. We had fun skipping rocks and watching fish jump. The morning and afternoon you hear nothing but birds singing and the evening is filled w crickets and frogs. We loved it. Do the environment a favor, and bring a bag to help pick up trash from public lands nearby. The site itself was clean and well groomed.
Absolute privacy, so quiet. The creek running near our tent, great shade from the sun and easy access to some trails. Firewood aplenty, this was our favorite camping spot. We almost don’t want to gush too much in fear of this spot getting booked up!
The access road is steep and narrow, glad we had our AWD compact suv or we would’ve been packing in/out. Fire pit was great, benches wide enough to sit comfortably and balance your dinner plate. Charles also brought a little table for the kiddos which was super helpful.
The only noise we heard during our stay were some coyotes yelping far off in the distance. Exactly the kind of solitude we were seeking. No cell service allowed for a complete unplug and recharge and i can’t wait to come back.
