I reserved a 6 person camp spot at 3G Familia Farm which has an amazing location along the highway 1 (highly recommend anyone driving north on the 1 to stop at Stewart Points Store for lunch beforehand) but unfortunately our experience was sub-par. To begin with, they only allow only one car and one tent for a 6 person spot, and require an additional charge of $10 per tent / car - this is incredibly unreasonable since most people would usually split into 2 cars/2 tents. When we arrived and were paying the extra fee, we felted hustled because on the spot, they said the charge was $10 per tent and car per night - which just to clarify was not mentioned anywhere on hipcamp. It seemed like the hosts were just trying to squeeze extra cash from us. Firewood is also $20 and you just enough for a night, so if you stay for two nights, you'll have to bring an extra $40 for wood. They do allow you to scavenge for wood across their property.
Additionally, the camp spots were incredibly close to each other so if you're looking for a relaxing time, close to the coast - you won't get it here as you'll be about 20ft from your neighbor. In our case, there were about 4 families camping next to us, and their kids were running around and playing all day in the area. Not a big deal but Familia G could establish less camp spots with more space and that way, people can feel like they have some privacy when they stay here (and they don't wake up to children running back and forth in front of their tent).
The porter potties were placed right next to people's tent's/cars and while there wasn't one near our camp spot, it probably wasn't ideal to be sleeping next to one I imagine.
Overall, the experience was just fine - I do not appreciate being mislead on the payment and the fact that we were barely 20ft from our neighbors but this place might make sense for a big family that's looking for a secure place for their kids to run around and play for the day. Personally, I won't be coming back or recommending this to my friends.
