What a fun spot, in a great location -- right on a gorgeous, Cape pond, close to town, and beaches. My son and I camped for a few days, and had a great time fishing the pond (successfully!) for largemouth bass. Carole let us use the canoe, and could not have been a nicer host. Good experience all around.
Mark was very communicative, and a nice host. He's made the most of these spots. We were with kids and set up two tents at the 3rd site out, which gave us enough room. Loved having running water onsite, the camp toilet setup is surprisingly effective, and the location is great, in terms of being just down the road from Reid State Park, Five Islands, etc. -- even did some trail running just up the road. But after the wet Spring, the site was incredibly buggy. No black flies, no midges, just all mosquitoes, but hordes of them. Site was bearable with a campfire and bug spray, but doing something like wearing shorts while packing up the car, was pretty much madness.
