Frannie was right outside at a table when I got there. The place is very nice. They had a convenient hand washing station with soap and water near the porta potties. Motion activated hand sanitizer dispenser in each restroom. Easy access to the water hose. Frannie gives you a map of the camp area if you want to explore.
This was my first Hipcamp experience. There are 8 sites on the property. The one I was in was closer to the driveway and neighbors than I would have preferred. But the site itself was really nice. Fire pit, tree coverage, nice clear spots for tents.
There was a wedding reception/engagement party on our second day that added a lot of extra traffic right outside our site as we were just a few yards from the driveway and parking area. But we were able to get parking right next to our site still.
The neighbors had a motion light that flickered off and on all night. It felt like we were sleeping next to a flashing neon sign. And they also had roosters for the early risers.
I think if you state in your request that you'd like to be further back from others there are sites that can accommodate that.
Overall it was a really fun and it was convenient to a lot of hiking trails and lakes for outdoor activities. Also close to a convenience store for firewood if you run out.
A really great option when all the campgrounds are full for months in advance.
