Beautiful place! You have the Caddo river and a nice creek. Our site was river front, and it was beautiful. If there were another group of people camping riverfront we would not have much privacy. As it was, it was reasonable, but not a kind of "away" place (which is possible if you camp by the creek, not by the river.) Although you don't see much of the road because there are tons of trees, it is next to you and there's some noise with that, which gets better at night.
Other nice points: our host was super nice, there's wood and ice for sale, you can use their fridge, grill, and picnic tables, you can rent a kayak or float trip (which we didn't do because of covid,) you can swim on the river (and jump from the rope) and it is GORGEOUS!
This place is AMAZING! It's gorgeous, you have two swimming holes (one public and one private,) you can walk around and see some amazing huge rocks, and the hosts are absolutely amazing. We were a bit uncomfortable traveling in remote areas in Arkansas with our Black child, so it was nice to have hosts that make you feel comfortable. Sam and Michelle were great.
All the campsites are shaded, with a nice picnic table and fire ring. We were on campsite one, which is right in front of the public swimming whole. It has a beautiful view but you will hear the noises from people swimming/listening to music/playing. It didn't bother us, but some people might be annoyed by it. Campsite 3 is the most secluded and a bit closer to the private swimming hole. While we were on site 1 there was another family on site 3 and we pretty much didn't see each other, so the sites are not far from each other but offer good privacy.
This was our favorite place in Arkansas.
The King's River Falls trailhead is right next to it and it's worth a visit. We went early on a Monday morning and got the place to ourselves, but on Sunday the parking lot was packed. It would be difficult to keep six feet distance because the trail is not very wide.
This place is a dream. Fantastic grounds, wonderful owners, close to Garner and Lost Maples parks, and it has some nice hikes within the property. Everything in there is cool: the outdoor kitchen, the bathrooms, the communal fire pit, and every single detail. I think that Woody is an artist, and it shows. My husband and I came with our small camper (we got the "first RV campers" badge! ;-)) and we had a super relax time. No RV hookups but that's how we like it, although in the future they might have. Our campsite had a perfect view of sunrise, and we walked to a place with a perfect sunset view. Oh, and the stars! Amazing star sighting. We walked around and it seems that each and every campsite is perfect. We are already planning our next trip. Seco Ridge actually inspired us to plan on going camping every other weekend (as soon as our daughter finishes her basketball league that it is.) That's how much in love we fell with the place.
