We absolutely loved camping here! Ron and everyone we met were so nice and helpful. I think we found our new favorite spot! This property is amazing, and I know we only explored a fraction of it.
Hosts: The hosts are so nice, excellent hospitality. Always ready to help out with whatever you need. Our first night, the fog rolled in early and they drove by to check on us and make sure everything was alright. Really good people.
Campsites: Spread out, not too close/not too far. Just right. Picnic style table/bench, fire pit, and container of spring water provided. Perfect place to string a hammock and look at the stars.
Pond: Excellent fishing, my son caught his first fish ever within a few minutes. Lots of Bluegill. Almost caught a bass, but it got away. Next time! The beach is great to relax on, and the cold water is perfect when the day starts to heat up. There is a fire pit nearby and a barbecue grill and kitchen sink for food prep. A little further away is a flush toilet and storage area.
Forest: The forest is so quiet and peaceful at night. Lots of stars to be seen. During the day you can hear birds chirping and squawking. There are mosquitoes, so bring bug spray. My son had fun jumping off the stumps and checking out all the butterflies that flew by. We hiked to the spring, and to the smaller pond. Lots of tadpoles and frogs in the smaller pond. There are a lot more trails, next time we plan to check out Mud Creek.
We had such a great time, and are already planning our next trip back later this summer.
