Camilla is a lovely, gracious host with a beautiful property! Each campsite had a fire ring, table, chairs, and a few other amenities for your use. She showed us around the property, and was very communicative during our stay. Camilla’s property is in an awesome location. We went swimming in the cache creek before heading to our Hipcamp. After we pitched our tent. We chilled for a bit and then went about 10 minutes down the road to the only restaurant in town for bbq. (Rustic BBQ.). Wow the bbq was amazing! All local meet (literally from a farm down the road), and made just earlier that afternoon. We went for an evening walk down the road and saw a waterfall flowing into the creek. The next morning, we opted to go to Camilla’s breakfast that she makes for her bnb guests. It was so delicious. We saw her heading down the road to grab farm fresh eggs just before we ate. We had green friend tomatoes, cheesy eggs with rosemary, coffee, and a homemade delicious tart. All the food was sourced locally. We then packed up camp, headed to roads 42b and stoked up some local meat to take home straight from the farm. We topped the weekend off at Wilbur Hot springs. (Approx a 30 min drive from Camilla’s property.) All in all, a perfect weekend. Can’t wait to visit again. Thanks for the hospitality Camilla!
Absolute slice of heaven and Cambria was a dream. The cabin is just a few minutes on foot from the Main Street in Cambria with loads of shops and restaurants but the cabin is perched atop a private drive and you feel like you’re the only people around for miles. We loved our stay at Buddy’s cabin. It was clean and cozy. We walked into town to a local brewery 927 brewing co. Before dinner at Madeline’s. It was the night before Thanksgiving and very rainy, but the cabin provided the perfect refuge from the storm. We will be back and hope to make use of the amazing fire pit area next time when the weather is dry. Great amenities too such as an outdoor shower and bathrooms :) — such a gem! We will be back.
We had a really fun time at Crystal Bay. What a beautiful and unique place. Lori was a welcoming host and greeted us on arrival. We pitched our tent and went into town for some Mexican food in Watsonville (Lori gave us a fantastic recommendation)! We got to walk the goats and Lori let us pick some fresh strawberries and take home some squash to cook from the farm. This is a working farm with lots of beautiful animals and projects in place, you’ll feel submerged in the experience. We really liked it and would love to camp here again :)
Robin & Dave have created a little slice of absolute Heaven here! Fantastic hosts, they do it all, and there's no lack of attention to small details, which makes everything just extra unique. I went here for my birthday weekend, and we will absolutely be back! We stayed in the cowboy room, which is an adorable rustic room with a wood burning fireplace, a comfy bed, and a private bath and shower. Highlights include the pool, hot tub, and farm to fresh breakfast each morning. The property is close enough to make day trips into Santa Cruz and the surrounding area for dinner/drinks or outdoor adventures. We went to Henry Cowell State Park and hiked down to the Garden of Eden. I can't wait for our next stay here; we might try the Treehouse next time!
Shelterwood was precisely what we needed to rest, rejuvenate and enjoy nature. It was divine. The tent is dream-worthy comfortable with a giant king size bed; we ended up just lounging and reading enjoying the forest sounds and sunlight. In the evening the stars come out and are very clear & bright. The property is thoughtfully laid out with a communal fireplace. We took a stroll through the woods before a nap and drank coffee on the porch in the morning before we took off for Healdsburg for the day. Complete serene paradise -- we will be back — great hosts!
