Very nice campsite and only an hour from Charlotte. We enjoyed relaxing at the creek and walking around the farm. The host was really nice and let us gather some eggs from the hen house and brought out some nice firewood. We will definitely camp there again. The host mentioned in the description that the road could be tricky. We drove down in our minivan and had no problem but I could see it being difficult after a heavy rain, especially in a car that sits low so be prepared for that. Honestly though no complaints.
Well if it tells you anything this is our third camping trip here. It's a really cool horse farm with beach access right down the road. I am so thankful to the host for sharing their land with us. Such a fun trip!
This was a very nice camping spot right off hwy 85 30 minutes north of Charlotte. After exploring the city all day it was nice to have a quiet safe place to go back to. Easy to find too. The camping area is clean and shaded with a shelter and picnic table, outhouse, and fire pit. Judy was a great host, came out to greet us when we arrived and asked if we needed anything. They even put fresh wild flowers on the table.
