If you're looking for a true Vermont experience - stay here! Make sure your car has 4x4 LOW and high clearance! If not, you'll need to hike up. There is hardly any cell service up there unless you have AT&T - keep that in mind! Gail was a great, responsive host!
Pinnacle Cottage was beautifully kept and extremely clean! The Host Sue and her husband were communicative and made sure we were comfortable during our stay. The cottage is secluded so you feel like you’ve got a sliver of the New Hampshire countryside to yourself. Highly recommend!
The Pepper Tree Cottage was an absolute oasis close to everything I needed to get to in Los Angeles. Cynthia was super responsive and was very attentive to what our needs might've been! The cottage had everything one needed and then some! The place was clean, the instructions were clear, it was private and the outdoor shower was so special! Cynthia has also made sure that anything you might've forgotten to pack is provided... from toothpaste, deodorant, lotion, ear plugs, robes, slippers, sanitary items, shampoo, conditioner... EVERYTHING!
Dana was a great host! The little Casita was clean, cozy and more charming than I expected! The farm fresh eggs, the chickens, goats and bubbling creek are all a lovely touch! The porta potty is well kept and smells fresh!
Blue Sky was a dream! The Host was responsive and the place went above and beyond our expectations.
Traffic from the Bay Area to New Cuyama (via Big Sur) was a little more than expected - Cameron messaged us and offered to give us a tour when we arrived way later than expected.
He was courteous and super welcoming - explained us the mission behind Blue Sky, showed us the grounds, hooked it with a clean towel for a late shower and even offered some of his food when we realized that everything in town was closed.
We decided to just snack on some fruit we had and went to bed - which btw - had electric blankets that I am sure played a huge part in our cozy night! There’s also a heater which really helped. If you have multiple things to charge - bring a power strip - there’s only 2 outlets in the hut.
Plenty of space for you to let your pooch run around and full LTE so you can easily plan your adventures around the valley and beyond.
Belcampo Free Range Farm is a magical place! We booked both sites so we had the whole farm to ourselves. The beds are comfortable, the bathrooms are clean, the gazebo/grilling area is gorgeous and the fire pit is a dream as well! You can roam the orchards, see the cows across the street and just unwind and disconnect for a couple of days! The farm is a short drive (~20min) from the closest town with a supermarket in case you get a late night s'mores craving.
The host, Michael, is responsive and has great people who will be able to answer your questions in case you have any! Jody was always a quick text/phone call away when we needed to know where to dispose of the trash and how to turn on the beautiful lights around the gazebo at night.
The Paddocks were exactly as I expected! Clear directions, amble space for dogs and a beautiful ocean views. There's fresh water, a well kept outhouse and plenty of firewood for $5 a tray, a full tray was enough for a night of fire.
