Honestly, there were no complaints at this magical campsite. There was so much land to run around and explore. Plus, the property is close to downtown in case you wanted to go out and grab some food or a drink.
I was a little worried about the weather but Brian made sure that we had enough warmth. There was everything from multiple kinds of heaters, candles, to and even a heated blanket!
It was kind of hard to see once the sun went down, and there is no fire pit to hang around so remember to bring a headlamp because the land is spread out and there are a lot of stairs.
Overall, the glamping adventure was one for the books and Brian definitely knows how to host!
I have never camped at an RV park before, but it was fun! It was a different experience than what I am used to when you think of camping. The site is located on PCH and very close to everything that you would need; coffee, food, the ocean.
The site is a nice big grassy spot located on the side of the park, unfortunately right next to the train tracks. Jennifer ( the host) gives you ear plugs, so it wasn't a bother. You can only have one car parked there, but there is extra parking for $5 on site. I got there pretty late, and it was really dark, there are no fire pits so bring a head lamp or a lantern! We skated around the park, and made friends with other campers ( who had a fire pit ) and then we all walked across the street to the "Surf Bowl" and played a few rounds of bowling for the rest of the night. Hint: if you go on the weekends its unlimited bowling for $10 ( woo!)
The next morning we took our boards and walked five minutes to the water, and had a great rest of the day, would recommend to anyone who is looking for an easy, hassle free, cheap campsite
The Cozy Trailer was cozy indeed!
We arrived to the campground pretty late, but the host Tammy was great and compromised with our crazy schedule. It was hard to see at where we were at first because the property didn't have many lights (remember to bring your own lanterns to make it a little easier!) but the moon was full, and the stars were showing off so there definitely wasn't a lack of light for us.
Three of us stayed in the trailer and it was perfect. There was a double bed, and a twin mattress on a platform above the double. We fit three people easily. I woke up the next morning to the bright sunrise, and the horses neighing. We rushed out bed because we were so excited to start the day in Joshua Tree.
On the property there is an outhouse, a outdoor shower, a couple of picnic tables, so many chairs and hammocks, fire pits, and a little kitchenette. We made some breakfast, packed some sandwiches and headed off to Joshua tree for the day. The campground is very close to the national park, so make sure you give yourself enough time to enjoy the campsite and the property surrounding it. Cozy Traveli Trailer is a unique spot, unfortunately we were only able to stay one night, but we will definitely be back!
A little hideaway from busy Pacific Coast Highway, so many trails that you can explore in the hills or go to the beach and hang out.
Not many people know about the cute vintage crystal cove beach cottages or the restaurant/bar (The beachcomber) that is hidden below PCH on the sand, but it is definitely worth the sunset views!
Always bring more water than you think. We are prepared for 120 degree weather at all times, especially when you hike down in the canyon, always bring at least two liters of water.
North rim is always much more quiet than the south rim ( in personal opinion) We go once a year and haven't been disappointed!
There is always so much to do so make sure you give yourself at least three full days.
You are right by the train tracks and trains run all night long. Beautiful beach, with great surfing but it is a basic campsite on the dirt and the views of the beach are pretty limited because of the tall shrubs.
