My husbsand and I just got back home from our trip on the east coast. Staying in Sandwhich at this beautiful Summerhouse was for sure one of our favorite highlights! Attention to detail was so impressive, the house is so well stocked, it will have everything you could possibly need. Very clean, and just so beautiful inside and out. We loved using the Sauna, and cooking in! I would suggest going and buying some local fish, coming back home to the fully functional kitchen and cooking up some dinner! You will want to spend as much time here as possible on your trip!
This really is a unique location! You can see the windmills just across the road, and your only 10 Minutes from driving straight into downtown. This is raw camping, no amenities as of now. I would suggest camping here in a vehicle or trailer, because of the location of this property, strong strong winds are very common, making tent camping very unideal.
Uncle Bronco lives on the property and I know has plans to add more camping amenities to this large piece of land!
I just got back from a weekend here with my husband and our two friends! We were able to all four fit comfortably in the cabin! There is a pull out couch and a trundle bed. We were able to cook dinner and a breakfast feast easily! There is a stove, grill top, and a fully stocked kitchen (no need to pack tons of paper plates and utensils). There is arts and crafts in the drawers and so we all had fun (trying to be artist) water colors and everything! Your only about 25 Min from the popular Pioneer Town and its a fun drive in and out (dirt road for a few miles but no need for 4X4) .There is a outdoor flush toilet bathroom, sink, and even a shower! Really great area in Joshua Tree and a fun place to get away!
Just left our trip to Whiteside Mountain and still cant stop thinking about it. Went with a group of 6. Plenty of sleeping spots and options! The "Dog House" was a favorite, if you have a mattress of some kind or memory foam you can push the 2 cots together and put that on top and have a perfect and comfortable bed for 2 in there! Everything you need to cook, no coals required, running water that makes washing so easy, my husband used the shower even though it was cold he said it felt amazing after a weekend of camping!
Best part is for sure adventuring the mountain behind the campsite (by the giant water tank) Climb up following the red ties attached to the bushes on the way up, ropes to help you stay safe and if you keep going you will find the hidden cave with a custom built platform! So much work put into this property, doesn't get much better than this!
I just got back home from a great weekend at Camp Nylen. We had all 20 friends join us and not once did we ever feel crowded or that we didn't have enough space. We all cooked breakfast and dinner both nights of our stay taking full advantage of the smoker and table space provided, it made getting all our meal together so much more convenient! We spent Saturday climbing the boulders on the property, didn't even have to head over to the crowded park. If your a climber you will love this site even more! We had about 3 cars (not off road vehicles) make it just fine to the property, if you do have a truck, the drive in and out is just another perk to this site! I plan on coming back with out a doubt. Thank you Greg!!!
My husband and I had a great stay here. The highlights of our stay were watching a mother goat and her new born babies who were literally born minutes before we walked up to the barn! We loved the heated floors in the cabin, it got really cold at night so this made the cabin so warm, slept great! We ordered the Taco Meal Kit for dinner, feeds 2 and is delivered fresh to the cabin, all the ingredients were incredible and the meat is from the farm, doesn't get much better than that! We also ordered some wild grown coffee beans, make sure you order off the Farm menu when you stay, adds so much to the experience! Also, make sure you make time to go in the Sauna on the property!
