Welcome to the 10-acre Post-Oak Savannah forest, Homestead, and Food Farm in Wyldwood.

Connect with the Earth without having to pack in your shelter. Your tent is spacious and private nestled on one edge of the Oak forest and grass field with a trail from your front door leading through the forest. The tent is a canvas tent is on a platform to so you will never feel the rocks under your feet.  You have the option of one queen air mattress, two twin air mattresses at ground level, or any combination of the above including linens (travel sheet sac and blankets).  No pillows provided.  After booking choose your sleeping arrangements.

We also host "My Yoga Barn" so you are invited to relax or roll out your mat for yoga on the shaded deck or sun deck, in the Barn in the AC, or book a private class. Enjoy strolling through the trails on the property and tour the food gardens saying Hi to the chickens at the Hen Den on the way. There is a full bath in the Barn and a private outdoor shower to use to cool off during the day or view the stars overhead at night.

There is outdoor seating on the deck of the Yoga Barn along with a ping-pong table. You can add on Radiant Mama's Juice Bar 24-72 hour juice cleanse so you can detox or so you don't have to pack any food (with 72 hour notice on order).  You can also bring your own food, our send out for delivery for a nice Italian dinner from our neighboring Leo's Italian Restaurant or visit The Texas Roadstand, MaCoco and the Hyatt.

We are 5 minutes from McKinney Roughs Nature Center, Zip Lost Pines, Hyatt Lost Pines, and The Labyrinth at Bastrop Botanical Gardens. A short 10 minute trip to Bastrop for shopping, river activities, and Bastrop State Park.

Things to know about visiting rural Texas:

You are visiting a working homestead/farm in rural Bastrop County.  If you live in the city you may not have experiences with some of the country sounds.  Some of the things you may occasionally hear are; a rooster, native wildlife, and domestic wildlife.  Gunfire IS NOT allowed on the property but safe shooting is legal in Texas in certain areas under certain circumstances.  Because you are visiting a rural Texas community you may hear the occasional gunshot from another property.

What a special place! The property feels both remote and familiar, making it easy to enjoy. Rebecca was very welcoming and generous with her garden's bounty. The tent and other facilities provided everything we needed for a streamlined camping experience.
