Two Sparrows Homestead is a working small farm operation on 5 acres of land. The campsite is down a long, country dirt road, off the beaten path. Here you can relax and reconnect with nature while surrounded by pasture lands and farm animals. Once living in the busy city of Katy, the hosts decided that it was time to slow down. They sold off their big house and most of their belongings and began traveling America in search of a new home and adventure... Faith landed them in the beautiful country, small town setting of Bedias, TX. Life here slows to a crawl and is often without electronics. Time here is spent enjoying life and the wonders created rather than rushing through it. The name Two Sparrows Homestead came into the picture through inspiration of the classic country-western song. With farming and agricultural operations declining, the host, Ernest and Elizabeth, knew that it would be an hard, up-hill battle to make their homestead a reality. But, nothing has been more rewarding.... Matthew 10: 29-31 has became a guiding verse. And with faith in God and love.. it has been a story worth writing.

Pastures and barnyards

Great choice!

It is a lovely spot to camp. The family is friendly, and the little girls are charming. The bathroom is a decent one. Lots of kittens around, which are so cute. I liked my stay a lot.

Great stop for a small family

Elizabeth and Ernest were THE BEST! So accommodating and friendly. Their daughters were fantastic hosts too. We were traveling with a toddler and they entertained her and kept her busy. While they were very friendly and warm, they were not overbearing in any way and we were able to enjoy the animals, the treehouse and take a beautiful stroll down their quiet road.

Delightful hosts!

We had a great stay! Ernest was amazing. We didn't arrive until after dark. He met us as we were pulling up and hung out just to chat for quite a while. They have a large camper parked outside that they opened up so we had access to a restroom. Even in a primitive camping environment we had access to potable water. They have a beautiful area set aside for campers. There's a chicken coop right beside the camping area, Ernest just told us to go on in and pick up some eggs in the morning if we wanted. So, we did. We had fresh eggs for breakfast. We were able have a campfire as well. I've stayed at some very shady places, but this was not one of them. I would definitely stay here again if I'm ever in their area.
